Worries and confusion.

Too much thinking, too much worries, too much emotions, too much fear, too much talk, too little action.
I'm messed up.

Mum's birthday.

Today is my mum's birthday! I got the cake, my sis got the card and the present.

Had a team singapore gathering, met Mr C.kunalan and Mr james wong. Had an interesting tour of the national stadium. Didn't know they had some floatation tank for people to just lay in salt water and visualise.cool. Had the chance to stand on the track and it just feels so good! Just the empty spectators stands alone are able to give me some inspiration. Inspiration and intimidating. It's a pity it's coming down soon.

Pretty cool place actually. Went through the hall of fame also. So many names and I also saw my first olympic medal which belongs to Tan howe liang of course. Less than 30cm from it! Maybe one day I can get something like that for myself!

For now just have to start small and work my way up. There's alot of time anyway...

On the road after the storm

Rush week. Tok and EE final drafts(official first drafts) deadline was just now. Managed to finish all but the quality of the essays are quite shabby. Sleepy for most of the week and really horrible paddling. Past my peak which was SICC and got stuck in a "hole" in terms of form. A burn out basically. Coach called it a sickness in which when you try harder, you will just start sinking further and further in and then you drown. So he gave me off from the programme from monday to wednesday. Feeling better now and on the road to recovery. Quite worrying to have this kind of dip just before a major race.

Really couldn't leave home today. Too much stuff to do. It's been 12hrs since i started editting my second draft for Tok and it's finally done. Sianzahhhhhhhhhhhh. First draft got a crappy 22/40. Deadline is friday...Now trying to chiong EE. Think i'll just wait till tmr lah. brain is dead.

Well MR 500 has come and gone with 2 weeks to NJCC. My juniors are very strong paddlers. It's a hard life in k1 at the present moment...but it's good for the sport!!!!

deadlines

Wrist is doing pretty fine now. It's been sore for past 2 days though.

Potential burglars beware!!!! What he did to me he'll do to you worse! I'm sure of it! (btw he's been around for about 3 years) All the mentors are starting to chase me for their almost final drafts now. Spending alot of time sitting in front of the computer editting my reports and thoughts. The most irritating part is the acknowledgements, but no choice.

Trying to finish all this soon so i can start practicing math and relax properly till the end of the hols. Me, sam and jori gonna have our triple birthday celebration on friday(sam's actual birthday and me and jori's belated). Maybe some massive ice cream cake or something :] oooo
Praying for jori to pass his driving or the three of us gonna have to walk to town. That's the catch. Food gonna be to sinful already.

Can't believe I'm almost 18 ready. That's almost 568,036,800 seconds on this earth!!!!

stupid dog.

Ahhhh! My dog took a bite at my hand just now. What the heck is wrong with it!!! Now i've got a aching right hand, teeth abrasions and some small teeth punctures on my wrist area. Not too serious but it totally stunned me. I was just minding my own business in the dog area, checking out his new dog house and he just bites me. Maybe he's a very possessive dog.

I got an affinity with bad luck. It's SO not my day. It's a golden retriever. It's supposed to be friendly!!!!!!

Music men

2nd last day of school! Somethings went well, some not so well, some things i should've attempted to do but no guts to. Spent the free chinese lessons in the music recording studio watching the Higher level music men(dun mess), chen yi, yofats,chris cheong, bryan, oswald and not to forget Mr. Wooooo justin(piano god) do a exam recording. All so pro...

All I can say is its total chaos till chen yi goes "OK!!!...1,2,3,4..." One mess of music and individual practice suddenly changes to Chen yi's self-composed guitar concerto in C. Though the recording was pretty unsuccessful, in the end it was a great experience to watch future musians and composers take that first step. Yofats snapped the cello A string too! WAhhh...someone getting strong ar!

With SICC over and done with, there's a huge amount of stress off my shoulders. I'm really smiling for the first time in days. Now I can be distracted all I want :]

Well...I had a great day! Did great for my events and clocked some relatively good times. Both me and jori tried hard to break that elusive 1.40 barrier in K2 but well...we ain't strong enough yet. K1 was quite bad though. Legs just totally gave up on me 3/4 through the race. If Vietnam and russia sent their K2s... I think it would be a very different story. Butbutbutbutbutbut! improvement is still improvement. There's about 8 months more! Time will do wonders.

Supporters were actually present on both days!! didn't expect it. Wow.

SICC

Nominations will depend on the short 1.30-1.40 mins of will power. Big race, Big opponents. Saw malaysia and vietnam today. They are BIG. Today is also the first day in 2 years I've seen someone moving the boat so well, be it a C1,K1 etc...

Vietnam dude...I feel slow.

The russians can't get into singapore because of visa problem but nevermind. Coach put me in a junior k1500m. But i'm junior anyway...the main race will be the k2 500 with jori. No K4 for me. Too many events already. Well, hopefully we get timings that will allow us to go sea games this time. Sitting out such events is such a pain.

A's are out. Some did VERY well(juniyi with 4A double distn& bobo), Some did well, Some did not so well. God has a plan for each one of us and everyone has God given potential. Potential is unfulfiled promise, it's about us putting in the effort to fulfil it. Stay strong people.
